These holy grail products have received a prestigious Royal Warrant.

Throughout the years, the royal family, the symbolic head of the United Kingdom, has served as a timeless inspiration for fashion and beauty. It’s usually easier to spot the exact clothes and accessories that royals wear, but you can’t quite reverse image search their faces to find out what lipstick or fragrance they have on. What you can do, however, is look for beauty brands that have been granted a Royal Warrant.

What is a Royal Warrant?

A Royal Warrant is a prestigious mark of recognition granted to companies or tradespeople who have supplied goods or services to the British Royal Family for at least five consecutive years. Basically, it's an official royal stamp of approval.

Getting a Royal Warrant isn't just about bragging rights, though. It’s also a seal of quality and a promise from the supplier to maintain sky-high standards. After all, you wouldn't expect anything less than the best from something fit for royalty, right?

Do note however that Royal Warrants are reviewed annually. Upon the reigning monarch's death, warrants become void, and companies must stop using the coat of arms within two years unless approved by the next monarch.

The late Queen Elizabeth II had granted 686 royal warrants during her reign, with only a handful going to the beauty sector. Ahead, we’ve listed down some of the brands that have gained the royal stamp of approval before she passed.

During Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, they received two Royal warrants from the Duke of Edinburgh in 1956 and from HRH The Prince of Wales (now His Majesty The King) in 1988.
