It's been a hot minute since Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga's break-up became the talk of the town. Since parting ways, the two seemed to have stayed in good terms with one another, occasionally having lighthearted exchanges online. Barbie, in particular, decided to don a new look as Miss Movin' On.
Aside from a new dye job, the actress also had a new tattoo done to welcome "more self-love" this 2022.
The 23-year-old got a tiny red heart inked on her skin, along with a couple of her friends. Barbie tells Preview that it was actually just a spontaneous decision for them.
"My friend asked me lang if I [wanted to] get inked and I said 'I’ll think about it', but I couldn't wait. I was really happy and excited, plus Cebu is my favorite place. [It's the] best place for everything," she says. Her clique got their hearts etched by Jello Talaboc, a tattoo artist based in the Queen City of the South, where Barbie is at currently.
They all settled on a red heart design simply because it was "very minimal" and "a sign for self-love." Noticeably, Barbie got hers right below the knuckle of her middle finger, while her friends had theirs placed near their wrists.
The Kapamilya star explains the difference in placement, stating, "I chose to the have it on my finger so I can easily see it lang. But my friends chose [their] arms 'cuz less painful daw."
Her peers do have a point! FYI, as compared to the arms, finger tattoos do hurt a bit more since there are less muscle and fat around the area to cushion the needle. Though, you can't deny how cute they are (we mean, just take one more look at Barbie's!)
If you're thinking of twinning ink with your BFFs too, here's some inspo.
